WORD ON THE STREET
"The more hydration products I've tried, the more I keep coming back to SOS. Other hydration products are laced with Sugar, and unlike others, SOS actually beats the WHO hydration recommendations in every metric. It's a perfectly balanced hydration product and I couldn't imagine using anything else."
"I discovered SOS products at the 2017 Boston marathon. As an avid runner, specifically distance running, I'm always on looking to optimize my hydration plan. SOS works great for me. It doesn't leave that sugary taste in your mouth like most sports drinks & doesn't upset the stomach. I also feel like you don't have to drink as much to get the same level of hydration. I highly recommend. Oh and all the flavors are great. Right now I'm on a mango kick.
WORD ON THE STREET
"SOS is without doubt the most effective hydration drink I have ever recommended."

"I tried this product once because I heard about it a lot from the running community. I've had a few instances where SOS has saved my run."
Whether it's hydrating to make my 18+ mile long runs feel like 7 mile runs, or the quick rehydration after a race or a long run, you can definitely feel SOS doing its job. I had a 10mile run one day where I didn't take SOS prior but 3 miles in I felt sluggish and tired running 7:15pace. So I went back to my car put 2 packets in a water, gave it 5mins to do its thing and went back out. The 7:15s turned to 6:40s and it felt comfortable. This is where I became a believer.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOS AND SPORTS DRINKS?+
SOS is different from typical sports drinks because it contains 50% more electrolytes and 75% less carbohydrates. Most sports drinks are loaded with high sugar and unnecessary fillers and preservatives. The excess sugar in these beverages actually prevents optimal hydration and can lead to bloating, diarrhea, or that "sloshy" feeling after consumption. Such drinks pull water from the blood vessels into the gut instead of absorbing it.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOS AND ENERGY DRINKS?+
The main ingredients of energy drinks are high amounts of sugar and caffeine. As their name implies, they are made to give an artificial energy boost and not meant to rehydrate you. Caffeine is known to be a mild diuretic because it blocks the Anti-diuretic Hormone (ADH) in the brain, thus increasing the urine production and flushing valuable sodium from your body. Some energy drinks contain very high amounts of sugar or fructose and rarely replenish the minerals needed for rehydration.
IS TOO MUCH SODIUM BAD FOR YOU?+
Yes, even though sodium is essential for balance and is involved in many physiologic processes, in excess it can be harmful. Our body has mechanisms to keep a stable sodium-water balance When we sweat, we lose water with a large sodium concentration. This is why it's important to replenish with a balance of appropriate minerals and vitamins. However, too much sodium can cause swelling, and other complications. SOS uses the bodies natural process to enhance absorption and provides the correct amount of sodium to replenish what you are losing.
WHAT CAUSES ME TO GET DEHYDRATED DURING THE DAY?+
Everyday, even when we don't sense it, we are losing water through evaporation, breathing, urine excretion and physical activity. Below are some of the environments and activities that contribute to dehydration.
- Extreme Heat
- Alcohol Consumption
HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM DEHYDRATED?+
Dehydration can cause headaches, irritability, weakness, dizziness, lack of focus, tiredness, dry mouth, and more. Any of these symptoms may indicate that you are dehydrated. Thirst, while not the primary indicator of dehydration, is a still a symptom to be aware of. Dark or yellow urine with low volume is a simple yet very strong sign of dehydration. You may also experience a dry mouth and chapped lips. Important and urgent signs of dehydration include rapid heart rate, confusion, or fainting.
